About Me
As a clinical embryologist, I’ve always enjoyed the time I spend with patients; it’s a chance to stay focussed on the incredible miracles that science can make, and to understand that infertility does not discriminate – it touches people from all walks of life. I have held thousands of microscopic embryos in my hands, but over the years the years it has been frustrating to see appointment times squeezed, whilst the complexity and number of treatment options increase, often leaving patients confused and uncertain.
Studying for a qualification in Professional Coaching was a huge turning point for me – coaching immediately felt like a perfect fit to support people going through any part of their fertility journey. I conducted a pilot study of fertility coaching sessions within my own IVF clinic, and had an overwhelmingly positive response; it was incredible to empower people with accurate information and see their confidence grow in the confidential, non-judgemental sessions. It’s a way for every patient to feel they are making the best of their treatment, within their own, unique circumstances. Now as an accredited coach, I have continued to advocate for patients, setting up the first ever in-house coaching clinic. I have felt how powerful and personally fulfilling it is to combine my expertise in the fertility process with coaching techniques to support anyone through their fertility journey.
I apply high standards of qualification and ethics to my work and have the knowledge and skills to support you in your fertility journey; both as a registered Clinical Scientist and as an accredited coach with the EMCC. I follow the Global Code of Ethics for coaches and mentors, bringing the highest professional standards to my practice.
As a member of the Executive Committee for the UK’s Association for Reproductive Scientists (ARCS) I am helping shape the future for Reproductive Scientists, and maintain a network of fertility professionals to signpost to should my knowledge and expertise not cover your needs.
